Hello!

It's pretty difficult to describe myself if we were to be precise! Hi, my name is Mohamed Akil Bin Mohamed Osman or Akil Osman. I'm a 26 year old 2D Illustrator / 3D Modeler from Singapore.

I’m a self-taught artist for almost 16 years– well, mainly because I've been interacting with art since the age of 9, and followed my brother's footsteps too as he is also in this kinda line of work. He mentioned to me once that every day, we are all learning, one way or another. We are students in this form of art, and for myself, seeding those words into myself makes me a better person both mentally and spiritually. And as I progress, more and more famous and underground artists inspired me.

 

I'm proficient in Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Autodesk Maya and Pixelogic Zbrush. I'm most passionate at what I do. I hate calling myself a 'perfectionist' but somehow, I feel like one. But that doesn't mean I wouldn't take in suggestions and avoid changes. I’m adaptive. Willing to learn new tools, pipelines, workflows or techniques as these things, won't hinder me. Everything new to me I'll face as a new challenge, so when I learn something, I'll try exploring variety of styles, even if it means leaving the 'comfort zone'.

 

A lot of times I'd love to call myself a 3D artist but, I usually doodle more than I model out. But I feel that's gonna change now (: With this little space I call home, I'll be updating my adventures more regularly so you'll have a look at my weekly updates!!
